Open through January 9, 2025 The Norwalk Art Space
455 West Avenue, Norwalk CT
Open Wednesday - Sunday 9 am - 3 pm
In Norwalk, there is a space like no other. A place where art meets the masses in a beautiful, renovated church turned art gallery, café and creative classroom. The Norwalk Art Space stands like a beacon on West Avenue among the towering apartment buildings across from the once YMCA building. In November, the space opened for an exciting new show, ‘STACKED’ featuring 2024 Korry Fellow Artist Lauren Clayton, joined by regional artists Holly Danger and Brian Kaspr.
The show is a kaleidoscope of colors and deeply meaningful messages woven together through drawings, paintings, and collages on canvas and in video. The three artists cross paths in their journey of creation, experimentation, stacks of sketchbooks, journals, and ephemera works that transcend their given mediums.

About Lettering and Abstract Artist Brian Kaspr
Brian Kaspr is an artist based in Norwalk, CT. Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, he was surrounded by blue collar aesthetics and work ethic. Attending the Maryland Institute College of Art and working as a design professional focused his early influences into a specific aesthetic style that is artfully cognizant, rooted in traditional quality, and full of character. As a graphic designer Kaspr created original lettering, logotypes, patterns, and one-of-a-kind customized objects for his clients. Kaspr’s artistic work has evolved from his skills as a sign painter and lettering artist. His abstract paintings and public art are based in lettering, but, rather than convey a message, the letterforms are utilized as a means of mark making. The structure of words, letters, and language create a framework for abstraction, texture, and explorations in color. Letter fragments and negative spaces provide a familiarity that ground his energetic and vibrant work. Learn more at www.bkaspr.com
Along with his personal work, Kaspr co-founded the critically acclaimed wallpaper and fabric design studio Flat Vernacular.
The show is now open at The Norwalk Art Space from 5-8PM at 455 West Ave in Norwalk, CT. The show runs through the new year, January 9, 2025. The amazing gallery, cafe and creative hub is open Wednesday-Friday 8 AM - 3 PM and Saturday and Sunday 9 AM - 3 PM. Workshops are available for youth and adults.
